Dear Shambo,

I know this advice is going to come to you too late. As far as I know, you will be the first person voted out when the Foa Foa and Galu tribes merge on “Survivor: Samoa.”

But I feel compelled to drop you this message in a bottle as a sign that someone out there is actually hoping you don’t get swallowed into The Man Hole that has developed this season.

First of all, congratulations on being voted the new leader of Galu.

Two of them were men who had to leave for medical reasons (which in another world would qualify them as not as physically strong as some of the women, but I realize this island is as in touch with reality as the time-traveling island on “Lost”).

The only man voted out all season was Ben Browning from Foa Failure, and he was so obnoxious and ineffectual he basically dared his tribe to keep him. And they did! Until they just couldn’t keep him anymore.

The other five people voted out were women, including Yasmin Giles, from your tribe.
